What am I qualified for after completing FOCOS?

The VisionSynergy FOCOS training prepares you to confidently coach at a ministry level. To become a professional coach, we recommend further training through a qualified program, such as the FOCOS Platform (www.focosplatform.com), or Coaching & Training (www.wolfgangjani.com), or the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

We also recognize, to become a professional coach, 100s of hours of coaching others and consistent reflection to improve one’s skills are needed. Therefore we recommend and provide mentor and supervisory coaching for further professional development.

Is FOCOS recognized by the ICF?

ICF is the International Coaching Federation, a global professional coaching certification and training organization. Upon completion of FOCOS, you receive a certificate and transcript of your training hours which qualify towards your ACC & PCC portfolio application with the ICF. They require several additional steps to complete their certification process.

Why are the FOCOS fees so low compared to other coaching programs?

Our commitment is to make coaching affordable & available without losing high quality. All our coaches and trainers raise their own support and are therefore not paid ‘normal’ coaching fees per session.

We use open source materials which makes the curriculum affordable. The market value of this training is at least $3,000. We significantly discount this training and provide it to ministry leaders for only $1,397.

VisionSynergy is also offering an additional sliding scale discount on the program if you are willing to commit to coaching 2 - 3 ministry leaders for two years after this coaching program is completed. Please submit your program application to further explore available discounts. Coaches would also receive a small stipend for each leader they coach. This is a great way to serve international leaders and refine your coaching skills in cross-cultural contexts.

What if I cannot complete the FOCOS training?

The FOCOS training is intensive and requires a high commitment to implement what you learn. Many leaders have taken the FOCOS training and successfully completed it.

The most time intensive time element of FOCOS is your own coaching practice sessions. When this can be incorporated into your current leadership responsibilities, it makes the ‘load’ easier.

You will need to decide whether having a coaching certificate will serve you or not. If coaching becomes one of the ways in which you serve others, having your coaching certification will increase your credibility.

You can opt NOT to complete it and then won’t receive a certificate but will have benefited from an excellent training and the usefulness of what you learned.

What are the program’s payment options?

Once you have been accepted into the coach training program, we will send you an email with a link to the online credit card payment form. Any discounts that we provide can be applied using a coupon code provided in the email. We will also accept wire transfers as an alternate payment process. Please contact us if this is your preferred form of payment at focos@visionsynergy.net. We can not offer payment plans at this time.

What is the program’s refund policy?

The registration deadline is March 10, 2024. Full program fee refunds minus transaction fees are available 15 days before the program starts.

​What technology will I need to participate in this course?

To participate throughout the course you must be able to do the following:

• Access the internet reliably

• Download and save files securely

• Communicate securely by email

• Print downloaded materials

• Have an active Zoom account (preferably with headset)

• Call or join via internet into tele-classes and any other group sessions over Zoom from wherever you are located. (regular phones, international calling cards, and cell phones are all options)
